To recap Part A, B, C, D, E, and F…
…in Chapter 1, Only The Best, seventeen year old Sansa Stark arrived in the King’s Landing to catch the Prince’s eye and hopefully become his wife. She soon she came to know and understand the darker sides of both the South and the Prince. At the same time, Tywin Lannister determined that Sansa would make the perfect second wife. Ned agreed to the courtship under the condition that Sansa had the final say. Quickly though Tywin underestimated Sansa and gave her second thoughts. Ned came to his rescue and gently reminded Sansa that she has as much to teach and how him as he does her.
…in Chapter 2, Trinkets, Traintors & Treasures, Sansa enjoyed Tywin’s courtship. Tywin even decided to play her games about frivolous details about himself. For the record his favorite color is Blue. However in an effort to defend her lady, Jayne Poole lets it slip to the other attendants that Sansa is no longer interested in Joffrey, and Ned is forced to send her home. With the Prince’s Name Day looming Tywin wanted to finalize their betrothal and escort Sansa to the Name Day Ball as announcement. Sansa accepted Twyin’s offer.
…in Chapter 3, Reckoning, Sansa decided that she will not marry Tywin within a fortnight, as he desires. While the Stark household packed, Tywin swallowed his pride returned to sweeten the pot for Sansa and her father. The wedding will happen at the natural pacing, Ned will not have to pay for the wedding, Sansa will be examined and her maiden-state will be leaked to dispel any rumors the prince started, and Joffrey is removed as the heir to the throne.
…in chapter 4, A Wedding for the Ages, Lady Catelyn Stark and her youngest daughter Arya arrive in King’s Landing to help Sansa plan and prepare for her wedding. Sansa says Yes to the Dress but Tywin is disappointed that the Starks have not spent more on their pending nuptials. The Ladies Stark attend tea with Queen Cersei and it goes….pretty much as expected. And then, the big day is upon them and, true to Tywin’s wishes, the city was transformed from the Red Keep all the way to the Great Sept of Baelor.
…in Chapter 5, Afterglow, the reception feast was elaborate as like no other wedding. Tywin made Sansa convince him to one dance before the newlyweds were allowed to exit the feast without a bedding ceremony. As they consummated their marriage, Tywin was commanding and thorough, knowing exactly what he wants, and Sansa experienced pleasure for the first time.
…in Chapter 6, Boundaries, Sansa woke to find breakfast has already been delivered, and not by her nor her new husband. Tywin was again surprised and impressed by Sansa’s astute observations and keen ability to form a plan on how to handle his daughter Cersei. In part, they would surrounding themselves with those who are only loyal to the two of them. Lady Catelyn chose two young women from the North, the Ladies Jorelle Mormont and Meera Reed to be Ladies in Waiting for Sansa while Lady Genna, Tywin’s sister, chose the Laides Grace and Brigitte from the Westerlands. Tywin confronted Cersei, threatening Joffrey with the same fate of Sansa, if anyth
